my first day of school

  This is me and my baby sister Emmeilne right before I went off to school.  I was very happy to start school.  I was a little bit nervous but I didn’t cry like the second day of school.   I even had a new back pack and lunch box.   This is me on the front porch.  I was very excited for the first day of school, I just couldn’t wait.  My whole family was taking me to school, even my dad with is bicycle.  This is me and my friend Kaya before school started.  I met her when I was going to a kindergarten party.  We became good friends right away.  it was a little bit fun when I had my friend to not make me worried because sometimes I just stayed with Kaya when I was worried.  This is me celebrating my school day.  I’m pretending I’m my dad at his work.  School made me so smart that I could work at Bridgespan.  This is my dad wearing my headband and doing his work like me, but he’s only my dad.  After I visited my dad at his work our whole entire family went to Wagamama to eat and celebrate my birthday.  They had Japanese food and they even had chopsticks.  This is what the sky looked like on my first day of school. After Wagamama we wandered around the mall.  My mom and me went to a make up store.  I tried on some make up.  What do you think?  Do I look good? This is me and charlie when we were walking home.  He missed me while I was gone to school.

This is me at the end of the day when the sun is down and the moon is up and when I’m so happy that I am a big girl at last and I go to kindergarten. 

Happy Happy Birthday hazel!

Oh Friday it was my birthday and I got a weaving set to make pot holders and hot pads. 

I also went to school on my birthday. 

On my birthday I also went camping, because it’s my tradition.  I loved camping.  I had my favorite dinner, chicken pot pie that we built on the campfire.  After we ate our chicken pot pie my mom brought up the brownies, cause I didn’t want birthday cake.  After they sang happy birthday to me not only blew out the candles, I blew out the fire as well!  Everybody laughed, including me. 

Disneyland!

I went to Disneyland.  I like this picture because it has one of the second main characters, mini mouse.    This is me getting my face painting.  I like it cause it was at Disneyland and it was my first time doing that.  It was my favorite color: yellow.  Yellow and Green.  It had lots of glitter on it and I liked it. In Disneyland there are lots of characters just walking around that you can take pictures with.  This picture is of me and my cousin Maddie with Mary Poppins.   I like this picture because it’s a toy story thing, you shoot things like cows and pigs and it’s kind of fun, and you wear these fake glasses.  I like this picture because it’s me and the other cousins brothers with me in front of Sleeping Beauty’s castle in Disneyland. I like it cause all of us have our chain necklaces.  I got them from my Grandma cause we saw them at Disnelyland.  In the other picture (below) there is my Grandma and my Grandpa in the middle at Disneyland.  my grandma let me go to Disneyland with her money and my grandpa’s money.  I like this picture because Maddie my cousin I was talking about with the Mary Poppins picture is playing with my baby sister Emmeline.   This is the whole group of people we were with at Disneyland.  I like it cause it’s in black and white but it seems like it’s kind of one that’s above this picture.  My Grandma and me, after one of the parades, we went on a Peter Pan ride that I like a lot.  You go in these boats and you sail and you see peter pan and captain hook…and I like one part when Captain Hook, there’s this crockodile and he’s holding open the Crocks mouth with his feet so he won’t eat him.  I wasn’t scared cause it was a funny picture.   This is all my cousins on the SHumway side.  I like it how Charlie is smiling so big, and I like that my big cousin Maddie is holding Emmeline and me, it looks like it in the picture.  And I like how Will holds one of my cousins, Joss.  And I just like Sebi, just sitting there like hisself and charlie just sitting by himself smiling, but I like Sebi the most cause charlie is smiling too big.  I like this picture cause there’s my cousin Will on a seal on a Merry-g0-round that only had under the sea things, like fishes and seals and seahorses, and even dolphins….and they have jewels on them.   I like this picture because it’s me and my aunt pretending to kiss.  That’s funny, it’s really funny, I like this picture.  One of my favorite rides was the teacups, but it wasn’t my very favorite.  I like it, but it doesn’t go very fast, but it does go a little bit.  You can turn the steering wheel and it depends on which way you turn it.  If you spin it left you’ll go faster, but there’s this one ride that’s like the teacups, only it’s lady bugs, adn it goes much faster than the teacups.  I like faster.  The teacups are kind of babyish.    This picture is about me spinning in the teacups again, but it’s actually really going, really fast.  We’re  going really fast cause if anyone is blurry they’re going fast.  Remember on the one above this one, my grandma is looking worried?  I like this one cause she’s smiling. This picture  is me with the fairy godmother in Cinderella.  I like her cause after the picture was done she asked me “ are you just a little shy?” and then I said “yes” and she said, “That’s how Cinderella was when she was little.”  While I was waiting in line there was one kid that had these car Mickey mouse ears, and he put them on backwards and the Fairy Godmother put them on frontwards and said, “That looks much more better.” This picture is me with my Grandma on a ride called, “it’s a small world.”  I like it because it hasn’t sailed into the ride yet.  I think we’re looking at one of the bushes that were animal shaped.  Here I am inside the ride, looking at my favorite princess, Ariel in some kind of shell.  I like it cause one of the Mermaids are singing the song in the ride that’s called, “It’s a small world.” These two pictures (above and below) are on the carousel.  The one on top is my cousin on a seal.  The one below is me kissing my seahorse.,….I like it cause it’s funny I’m kissing my seahorse. Me and my mom went on a date at Disneyland and we saw these flowers that are orange and purple and yellow and red and white.  We also went to a background that looked like Holiwood, I like it cause I’m in front of Holiwood with my cotton candy.  When me and my mom were on a date we got Cotton Candy.  I think it tastes like strawberries mixed with sugar.  I liked it cause it looked like pink clouds and there was fairy dust in it.  This picture is of Pluto with me taking a picture.   I like this picture cause Pluto’s eyes are really big, and his nose and his ears are really long.    I’m pretending that that cow is going to run over me.

My favorite ride was the Haunted Mansion and Small world.  I like Haunted Mansion cause it’s really silly and not too scary for me.

Everything that you can maybe imagine

This is a doll that I made out of wood.  My dad carved out the wood and I sanded it and put on the hair and drawed the eyes and stuff and put the stickers on and I colored her dress.  It's really fun to make dolls. I hope that if anyone has a daughter in their family and their dad gives them wood, they should make a doll like Moony.  Her name is Red Moony.  I like having my dad home from work.  I’ve made lots of things out of wood, but i still have a little bit more wood.  Charlie made a hammer out of wood, but he gave it to me, cause he already got one. We had some people and their last name was snows come over, they came and they played with us.  It’s fun when people come over to play with me.  This is mom and the snows sitting on the couch.  This is a picture of one of the snows that I took.  Her name is Ellie.  Doesn’t it look like a queen? This picture is me kind of being a queen like Ellie.  I like pretending to be a princess, sometimes I like pretending to be a queen.   This picture is like a rainbow.  Doesn’t it look like it?  It’s kind of like the reflection, kind of like the light of my hand, it’s a picture of my had up close.

This is the last picture I took of one of the snows.  It was snowing hard.  Don’t those white balls look like shooting stars?    And this is a cute giraffe, I took a picture of it, isn’t it cute?This picture is one of the snows too, her name is Rebecca.  I like Rebecca, she says funny things.   This is Emmeilne walking.  Did you know that she took her first step, and now she’s walking around the house like crazy.  She likes to carry things when she walks.

Funny Pictures from New Years Eve

All of these pictures are funny.  I think they’re really funny.  By the way, I got a new camera from my mom, that’s why I’m taking so many pictures again, my old pink camera broke. 

This is a really really really funny picture, it's of some of our friend’s dads singing a song, and it’s really funny.   I was having really fun at that party.  These two pictures I love.  They are really funny too.  And the sideways one is really funny, and I know how to take those sideways ones.  Emma and Josh are doing a funny song.

I stayed up till midnight, am I so lucky?  I got to stay up and fire up all the bad things that I did that I wrote down on the paper at midnight.  It was really fun, we even got to drink a kind of fizzy drink thing at midnight.  We were the only kids awake, and we got to stay there cause we took a really long nap.    I like this fruit picture, it reminds me of all the yummy things I ate on new years eve.   This is a picture of one of Charlie’s favorite blankies.  Charlie really likes it, I took a picture of it at the New Year’s Eve party.  I don’t know why I did it, I just wanted to do it for fun, and this square is Charlie’s favorite square on his blanket.  He got on his birthday.  He calls is scrubby and sometimes Taggy. 

My new year’s resolutions are lots of things, I’ll tell you too:

1. learning how to ride a bike without training wheels.

2. learning how to read.

and I think I’ll tell you one more

3. learn about the body every day that we do daddy school. 

I have lots of other ones, but I can’t tell you because I don’t want to do too much writing on my blog. 

Christmas pictures tooken by Hazel

This picture I love cause I painted that nutcracker for Charlie for his present and it’s my favorite present I gave to charlie, and now he loves it.  I think he pretends that that nutcracker is a bad guy and he calls it Nuckie.  I like this nutcracker, this is the same nutcracker and it is the goodest one I gave to Charlie.  I just can’t say how much times Charlie loves it, but I know that he loves it a lot.  I like it cause it looks a little like my nutcracker.  I decided to get Charlie a nutcracker cause he really wanted one.  I knew that my daddy loves the present that I gave him, just as much as Charlie likes his present.  I knew that he wanted a lego man like this and I wanted to give it to him so that that could protect him on the airplane on his trips.   This looks like a bad guy trying to whack his sword out of his case at someone so he can kill them.  I think this looks like really kind of good face too.  I like this picture a lot.  I gave my mom this knife cause she wanted a big sharp knife. This picture is of Emmeilne’s new blanket that I gave her, and she loves it.  This is my daddy snuggling with Emmie’s blankie and Emmeilne too.  I knew that she’d like it just as much as one blanket she has called Lammy.  These are ice skates that Charlie got.  He loves them.  And we went ice skating with them once, and I got Ice Skates too, but Charlie got some that are for playing hockey.  I like that present that my mommy and daddy gave charlie.   My skates are for dancing on Ice.  This is my favorite present, I love it.  My dad gave it to me and I love learning about the human body, it’s my favorite thing.  And I got it for Christmas.  This is Charlie.  Charlie loves the pipes that his dad gave him.  He can connect them and stuff.  He loves them, he plays with them every day in our play room, so I love them too.  My dad gives good presents.    THis is one of my neighbors.  Her name is Joyce.  And I took a picture of her when she came over for a brunch for Christmas.  This is a picture of one of my favorite rocks.  Santa Clause gave it to me, and I also got three packs of pipe cleaners and a big play room, and I love this rock. I have it up where my bed is and that makes me remember Santa.

This is all of my presents that I got from Santa, and he gives us lots of like wood things, that you can like put together.  He’s our favorite person that brings us toys. 

And, I got lots of other presents, like a doll house book thing, and I can look at it to see what dolls do.  It’s really fun to read it.  And it’s my favorite doll house book.

I got something from my other grandma, a big like microphone that’s real.  I love it too and that’s one of my favorite presents , almost all of my presents are my favorite. 

I love Christmas.  It’s my favorite season.  And it’s to celebrate Jesus, not just about the presents.  And I like to give away presents, that’s more than Santa and the presents, giving away presents.  I think I know why we have Christmas presents, cause God gave us a Christmas present, on the same day that Jesus was born, and it was Jesus.
